What age can children start taking classes at Diamontes?

We take children from age 3.

What should my child wear to their first lesson?

Children should wear stretchy clothing something they can move freely in and trainers to start. Hair should be tied up.

May I watch the lesson?

We don’t permit parents/guardians in to watch our lessons as it’s too distracting especially for our youngest members. Our venues have small waiting areas.

Is there a uniform?

Yes, you will be given a uniform list at your first lesson but there is no rush to purchase anything until you know your child wants to stick with it.

How are fees charged?

You can pay as you go for the first 2 lessons and then you would be billed for the rest of the term.

Do you follow school terms?

Yes, we break the year into Autumn, Spring and Summer Terms.

Do you have classes in the summer holidays?

We run Summer Schemes each August. Week long fun filled schemes of all things dance and drama.

Do pupils take exams?

All children are encouraged to work towards their ballet exams (age 6+), but they are not mandatory.

Do you offer performance experience?

Yes, we have performances at Christmas and a full school show in June held in a professional theatre.
